SEM Model 5140C Cross-Cut Shredder - Refurbished*

The SEM Model 5140C is a Level 5 rated (Secret),
Cross-Cut, Shredder. Operating at a speed of 40 feet per minute it is
capable of reducing up to twelve sheets, simultaneously, to a miniscule
1/32 x 1/2 inch.
This high specification shredder has an opening of 16 inches, and is
powered by a 2 1/4 HP motor operating at 120 Volts, 20 Amps. Because of
the starting current required by this motor, the manufacturer
recommends operating it on a dedicated circuit. A number of our units
are equipped with the SEM LK-1 Automatic Oiling System. This a $1200
option on other SEM 5140 series models and serves to dramatically
increase the durability and service intervals of this model.

The 2603 Shredder SMC exceeds NSA Requirements for
minimum particle size. This high quality unit is electronically
controlled, features an integral pull out bin, which reduces messy
spillage, and an internal automatic oiling system. The latter
dramatically increases cutter life by ensuring proper lubrication. The
2603 is electronically controlled, with
light activated automatic start and stop, for increased reliability.
